WWW.WISPA.ORG 1 With Master Monday’s deep-dive sessions in the books, WISPAPALOOZA 2025 turns to three more days of industry-driven content and deal-making, as thousands of ISPs, WISPs and broadband leaders gather at the Paris and Horseshoe Casino Hotels in Las Vegas. Built on the theme – Build, Compete, Grow – WISPAPALOOZA 2025 offers attendees insider access to the latest policy updates, hands-on training from industry leaders and a first look at groundbreaking technologies to make ISPs grow. In all, more than 50 panel presentations and education sessions from industry experts and thought leaders, along with access to nearly 200 product, software and service providers in the expo hall provide a front-row seat to the newest breakthroughs shaping the future of connectivity. WISPAPALOOZA 2025 comes at a time of tremendous technological and policy change shaping broadband deployment in America. On June 6, following three years of sustained advocacy by WISPA’s members, NTIA announced a BEAD program course correction that realigned the program to the technology-neutral bipartisan intent of Congress, opening the program to small rural innovators while also protecting operators already delivering reliable broadband. On July 4, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act became law. This reauthorized the FCC’s spectrum auction authority but also raised questions about what and when to auction, including bands now in use by WISPs. These events, along with ongoing technological advances in connectivity— such as the advent of ubiquitous, LEO-provided broadband and AI—present challenges and opportunities for hometown ISPs. “ISPs, and certainly WISPs, have been working hard to deploy broadband to the unserved for many years,” said David Zumwalt, President and WISPAPALOOZA 2025 Kicks Off Amid Technological, Policy Changes Shaping Broadband Deployment (Continued on page 4)

The order is for the initial deployment of Actelis’ Unique MacSec-Encrypted networking solution and comes as part of the FAA’s broader modernization initiative following Congress’ approval of $12.5 billion in dedicated funding through the Trump Administration’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” signed in July. This landmark legislation specifically allocates $4.75 billion for telecommunications infrastructure improvements, positioning advanced networking solutions like those provided by Actelis at the center of America’s multi-year, multi-billion-dollar aviation infrastructure transformation that could ultimately require investments exceeding $30 billion, according to recent reports. The order represents an initial deployment that demonstrates how Actelis’ technology can help the FAA solve its multi-billion-dollar infrastructure upgrade problem overnight—at a fraction of the cost of new infrastructure— as there is no need for the major costs and delays involved in deploying new fiber infrastructure everywhere as the FAA continues implementing its comprehensive air traffic control modernization program. The company’s proven track record with federal aviation authorities and its unique technological advantages position it well to support additional phases of the FAA’s infrastructure transformation initiative. This order demonstrates Actelis’ continued strategic role in supporting the FAA’s comprehensive air traffic control system upgrades, building upon the company’s established relationship with the agency dating back to 2020. The deployment will enhance secure, reliable connectivity across FAA facilities and airports, enabling fiber-grade performance regardless of existing infrastructure while maintaining the highest cybersecurity standards required for mission-critical aviation operations. The order was facilitated through Actelis’ partnership with IP Integration, a leading provider of advanced technology solutions for federal agencies. “This order validates Actelis’ critical role in modernizing America’s air traffic control infrastructure,” said Tuvia Barlev, chairman and CEO of Actelis Networks. “Recent communication disruptions at major airports have highlighted the urgent need for reliable, cyber-secure networking solutions that can deliver immediate improvements without requiring complete infrastructure overhauls. GeoLinks, a national leader in nextgeneration fixed wireless, and Intracom Telecom, a global leader in wireless access and transmission solutions, have announced the first U.S. live demonstration of GeoLinks 29/31GHz licensed spectrum. Installed atop the iconic Rio Hotel in Las Vegas, the Intracom Telecom WiBAS G5 point-to-multipoint (PtMP) smart base station will serve as a live showcase of fiber-like, secure and interferencefree performance at WISPAPALOOZA 2025— marking a major milestone in the evolution of fixed wireless connectivity at North America’s premier industry event. The demonstration site gives attendees firsthand experience of licensed spectrum performance, scalability, reliability and security, powered by Intracom Telecom WiBAS G5. The platform’s advanced mmWave design delivers interferencefree, high-capacity connectivity across urban, suburban, and rural environments. This collaboration underscores GeoLinks and Intracom Telecom’s commitment to expanding broadband access, closing the digital divide, and redefining fixed wireless performance for today’s broadband networks. “Today marks a turning point for GeoLinks and for the U.S. fixed wireless industry,” said Kevin Hetrick, CEO of GeoLinks. “With a nationwide portfolio of licensed LMDS spectrum covering 1,300 counties, we are uniquely positioned to deliver fiber-like connectivity at scale—without the limits of unlicensed spectrum. Our Las Vegas demonstration with Intracom Telecom showcases the next evolution of fixed wireless: multi-gigabit, interference-free broadband with carrier-grade performance. This milestone reflects our commitment to redefining how high-speed connectivity is deployed and scaled nationwide, and we’ll unveil the full scope of our next-generation spectrum initiative at WISPAPALOOZA 2025.” “We are proud to work with GeoLinks in demonstrating their licensed LMDS spectrum,” said Kyriakos Vergos, CEO of Intracom Telecom USA. “Intracom Telecom’s advances in FWA mmW hybrid beamforming systems, running on our own baseband architecture, are a true gamechanger. This installation at the Rio Hotel not only demonstrates the power of our joint offering but also lays the foundation for WISPs to serve enterprise, wholesale, MDUs and multi-tenant markets with fiber-like performance at a fraction of the infrastructure cost.” Licensed spectrum delivers built-in network security by operating on exclusive, FCC-protected frequencies that prevent interference, spoofing and unauthorized access. Unlike unlicensed bands, these channels are legally safeguarded, ensuring only authorized operators transmit within defined boundaries. This exclusivity forms a physical layer of cybersecurity that complements encryption, authenticated access and network-layer defenses to create a closed, interference-free environment. The result is carrier-grade reliability and data integrity, the same secure foundation that underpins enterprise, defense and publicsafety networks worldwide. This convergence of performance and protection represents the secure backbone of next-generation broadband. Through their strategic collaboration, GeoLinks and Intracom Telecom demonstrate the combined strengths of GeoLinks nationwide licensed spectrum rights and hybrid fiber-wireless infrastructure, together with Intracom Telecom’s carrier-grade WiBAS G5 FWA platform, trusted globally by residential, enterprise and wholesale operators. Together, the companies are laying the groundwork for a new era of fixed wireless performance and next-generation broadband innovation. A new chapter for American broadband is unfolding. The demonstration, powered by Intracom Telecom’s WiBAS G5 technology and GeoLinks nationwide licensed spectrum, showcases how fixed wireless can deliver interference-free, multi-gigabit, low-latency performance to businesses, institutions and communities across the United States, accelerating digital inclusion and redefining what’s possible in highspeed wireless connectivity, bringing the future of broadband beyond the cable. m Visit GeoLinks at WISPAPALOOZA booth 837 and Intracom Telecom in booth 441.
