DAY 1 WWW.WISPA.ORG 2 1 www.bekabusinessmedia.com Blue Star Innovation Partners (“BSIP”), a growth focused investment firm that partners with leading software and payments companies, announced its investment in Sonar Software, a leading provider of business support systems (BSS) and operations support systems (OSS) solutions for internet service providers. “We view sonar as a leader in the telecommunications technology market and believe there are attractive opportunities to accelerate growth and to better serve our existing customers,” said Jeff Gardner, Partner at Blue Star Innovation Partners. “This strategic investment will be a powerful driver to support sonar ’s global expansion into new markets and the development of new products and services.” The investment comes at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated the critical importance of telecommunications companies in keeping businesses, governments and communities connected. As governments invest billions in closing the digital divide, internet service providers seek modern solutions to scale and grow their business efficiently to bring high-speed internet to underserved rural areas and developing countries. “We evaluated several investment firms, and Blue Star was the clear choice as they have successfully grown customer-centric organizations with a key interest in growth transformation. Their leadership and expertise will support our vision of creating a scalable model to serve the global communications technology market while providing exceptional value to our customers,” said Simon Westlake, CEO of Sonar Software. Sonar Software is a cloud-based provider of BSS and OSS solution. Its platform offers a range of rich features that are mission-critical to the daily work of ISPs. Sonar is a scalable and fully integrated solution that helps service providers consolidate their data in one place for improved visibility, reduce dependency on multiple systems, and automate complex workflows for enhanced business efficiency and growth. m Visit Sonar Software at its booth 919 or learn more http://sonar.software Positron has joined the Calix Partner Community to enable service providers to extend fiber and fixed wireless Gigabit services to each unit in older buildings that would otherwise have been bypassed. Positron’s G.hn Access Multiplexer (GAM) looks like an XGS-PON ONT with multiple Gigabit Ethernet ports, extending Calix XGS-PON access solutions into brownfield multidwelling and multi-tenant unit (MDU/ MTU) properties. By using existing in-building coax or copper twisted pair wiring to provide Gigabit services to each tenant, there is no disruption of construction, and there is faster time to revenue at a fraction of the cost of rewiring. Gigabit Home Networking (G.hn) is an ITU-T Standard (G.9960) with characteristics that are superior to G.fast (e.g., spectrum management, dynamic bandwidth allocation, port efficiency, etc.). G.hn also is superior to DOCSIS High Split as G.hn enables Gigabit in the upstream direction to all subscribers. Each subscriber in MDUs/MTUs served with a Positron GAM can be integrated with the Calix GigaSpire and GigaPro family of systems. Broadband service providers can own the subscriber experience in brownfield properties, providing Gigabit speed tests at 800 feet over copper and 2,600 feet over coax. Other well-suited applications for the GAM include garden style apartments, hospitality properties, campuses and dorms, RV parks and shopping centers. The Calix XGS-PON and Positron OMCI integration and interoperability eliminates any IT integration work by the broadband service provider and allows them to manage the customer as another XGS-PON subscriber through Calix AXOS SMx and Calix Cloud enabling a full end-to-end subscriber experience. m Visit the Positron booth 619 and Calix booth 203 for more information. Blue Star Announces Investment in Sonar Software Extend Subscriber Quality to MDUs with Positron, Calix The centralized MikroTik cloud and on-premises provider, RemoteWinBox, has added tons more trending information. Need to know if CPU, board or SFP temperatures have been steadily climbing and if you should be ready for a replacement? Then look at the daily, weekly and monthly history of the MikroTik sensors. And it’s not just temperatures! RemoteWinBox monitors all MikroTik health data the router provides, so you can also check on fan speeds, voltages and more. In addition, with so many users pairing LTE with MikroTik and RemoteWinBox the team also added historical LTE information which can assist with understanding the signal and noise environment over time and visualize the effects of switching towers or bands/frequency. Finally, customers asked for individual CPU graphing because averages don’t tell the whole story. RemoteWinBox users can see the scenario where one core is an outlier and has higher usage than the rest, where averages smooth out and hide the issue at hand. If you like to nerd out over all the stats of your MikroTiks, stop by and talk to Marc, Eric and Claudia at RemoteWinBox booth 518. RemoteWinBox Expands Historical Charts, Graphs
