No one seems to be able to predict the cycles of our economy, but we can broadly identify where our channel should see the “green shoots” of growth and opportunity. 5G & Fixed Wireless Access FWA - The hype around fixed wireless access (FWA) has gone on for years. In 2023, we finally got to sell high speed C-Band in some areas of the country with mixed results, due to a lack of availability. Telcos have invested more than $150 billion on C-Band licenses and fiber infrastructure. Early in December, all prior leases of C-Band spectrum vacated their space. 2024 will mark the rapid expansion and availability of high speed FWA with unlimited usage or usage based with lower pricing points across the nation. These services will be an alternative to cable broadband. Several research firms predict 50 to 70 percent compound annual growth rates (CAGR) during the decade. By Glen Nelson
