At Snom Americas, we spend a lot of time telling our partners about many of the features and functions that make our phones and phone systems top-notch in the industry. For this issue of ChannelVision Magazine, we thought it might be fun to explore exactly what some of these industries are. Nursing, Extended Care, Hospitals and Other Expansive Medical Settings In any healthcare setting, phone users need to be able to quickly and clearly talk with one another to collaborate. In some instances it can even be a matter of life and death. That’s why we at Snom Americas wholeheartedly endorse our M900 series phone system to provide the exact type of immediate and precise care that medical practitioners – and their patients – need. This modular, scalable system provides stability and high quality in any environment, and its configuration utilizing distributed base stations, offers seamless mesh environment mobility with customizable scalability. That’s just part of it. • Conversations are TLS encrypted to maintain privacy for you and your patients. • A set of alarm and emergency functions built in to the solution ensure an immediate response when critical situations happen. • M900 handsets are antibacterial, improving hygiene in places where it is most critical. This includes professional cleaning and disinfection without risk of damage. Plus, its plastics inhibit the growth of, and kill, potentially devastating microorganisms. • The system’s reliability allows for easier and more consistent communications where calls aren’t dropped. • Integration with common nurse calling solutions, including Poltys, Rauland, Jeron, Vision Link and Sarah. Other Verticals Needing Large-Scale Wireless For the M900 series, scalability and call integrity are the key tenets. In environments where customers need to communicate efficiently over a large area, having widespread access to clear calls is critical. This includes spaces such as warehouses, expo locations, retail chains, sports venues, campuses and locations with large tracts of land such as resorts, farms and vineyards. Because devices are linked via base stations, there is seamless mobility and constant availability within that mesh environment, whether across a sprawling campus, multiple buildings or large areas. Special emergency functions allow for paging-style announcements over expansive areas. Additionally, the outdoor bases are encased in IP-55 rated, PCG nano-sealed housing to protect against dust, water, shock, temperature and UV damage. They are just as reliable outdoors as they are inside. The Small-Office Environment With a minimalist design, reliable range and audio-enhancing capabilities, Snom’s M500 series of wireless handsets, DECT desk phones and DECT multi-cell base stations are ideal for doctor, dentist and other small offices that host critical conversations across comparatively smaller areas. Each M500 base can pair with eight devices (handsets or deskphones) to support up to eight simultaneous calls, with one additional base station able to be linked to increase phone pairing, call capacity and range. These devices support intuitive, streamlined call handling and bolstered team transparency. Built on a patent unique in the industry, the M500 answers the question of how to bring legacy key line system users into the cloud. Key line emulation, intercom calling, line presence and a push-button, public broadcast option for paging any connected units can now all be provided in a SIP DECT environment. No one else can give you a solution to replace the millions of old key line systems in the marketplace but Snom. Other potential verticals for the M500 series include restaurants, small retail locations and offices that require no more than 16 devices Of course, one of our core Snom strategies is assisting partners – and, in particular, MSPs – in targeting various verticals to provide a full, comprehensive package that meets more specific needs. With our diversity of offerings we are sure to find the solution that fits your requirements. o For more details, be sure to visit www.snomamericas.com or call (514) 867-4318.
