t’s no secret that the pace of inno-
vation is fundamentally changing
competitive businesses. Software
defined networks and virtualization, as
well as new mobile technologies, are
creating the next-generation platforms
over which networks are provisioned.
Service provider business models are
shifting to deliver more products and
services to business customers “over
the top” and closer to the edge—and
this in turn drives the ever-increasing
demand for broadband fiber networks
and data center capacity. The value of
the cloud is clear too, given the poten-
tial to deliver services to customers that
are integrated with the customers’ own
business applications and services.
Against this dynamism, INCOMPAS
as an organization has clear priori-
