AirTight Aims for 80% Channel Sales for 2015

AirTight Networks is track to achieve its goal of 80 percent sales through the channel in 2015, while 100 percent of international sales will continue to be through the indirect side.

In the last 12 months, AirTight said that it has experienced a notable demand-share shift from a direct sales model to the channel. It has also forged new partnerships with key managed service providers including Earthlink and Hughes.

In 2014, AirTight launched a new 802.11ac platform with a wireless intrusion prevention system (WIPS). The company has also added to its executive team:

  • AirTight COO, Rick Wilmer, former CEO of Leyden Energy and Pliant Technology
  • AirTight CFO, Mike Anthofer, former CFO of Tessera Technologies

“What attracted me to AirTight was the company’s technology and, more importantly, the engineering team behind it,” said Wilmer. “I have been deeply impressed by the amount of creativity and innovation here. I am passionate about building small companies into larger, valuable enterprises. The fundamental innovations here at AirTight will allow us to do remarkable things in redefining the value proposition for enterprise Wi-Fi.”
