Smith is the former CRO of Onapsis and Anomali, and also played a “critical” role in two IPOs and five mergers, including Invincea (acquired by Sophos), ArcSight and Mercury Interactive (both purchased by Hewlett-Packard).

“Chris joins Aqua Security at a critical point of inflection,” said Dror Davidoff, Aqua Co-Founder and CEO. “The world is moving toward widespread modernization and cloud adoption, and as the cloud native security market leader, the company is poised for massive growth. With a track record of success at scale-up companies, Chris’ leadership will be instrumental in helping us achieve continued success on our mission to make the cloud a safer place.”

“The cloud native space is growing rapidly as enterprises accelerate their digital transformation initiatives,” added Smith. “The market needs a security vendor to keep pace, and Aquais the only player in the industry that can offer the full lifecycle of cloud native tools. I am thrilled to join a company that brings cutting-edge industry research, open sourceleadership and innovative technology to tackle the biggest security challenges facing today’s cloud transformation.”
