Ariba, a Web-based trading community, has launched the Ariba Integration Connector, powered by the cloud-based Dell Boomi environment, which VARs and other channel partners can roll out to allow companies to send POs, invoices and order confirmations between the Ariba Network and their own systems in a pre-integrated way.
Ariba’s first pre-integration with Dell Boomi interfaces with Intuit QuickBooks. Additional connectors to enable sellers who own Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and Sage Peachtree/Sage 50 (2009-2013) will be released later this year.
“From the beginning, the Ariba Network has been built to be an open platform to connect all companies using any system to foster more efficient business-to-business collaboration,” said Tim Minahan, senior vice president of network strategy, Ariba. “With these new connectors, we are making it even easier for sales organizations of all sizes to fully automate their customer transactions and collaborations over the Ariba Network – directly from their preferred ERP and accounting systems.”
In the past, integration has been a complex and costly process involving additional hardware, installed software and lengthy managed service engagements.
