BEC Technologies Expands Portfolio of Outdoor LTE Routers

BEC Technologies has announced the latest addition to the RidgeWave series of 4G LTE outdoor routers.

The BEC RidgeWave 4900 series is immediately available for high-speed fixed wireless access (FWA) to homes and businesses in suburban and rural locations.

The new series of routers support commercially licensed LTE bands and are FCC Part 96 EUD authorized for use on the 3.5 GHz CBRS shared spectrum band. Operators can select from LTE Category 6 or LTE-Advanced Pro Category 12 models that offer carrier aggregation up to 3 CA downlink and 2CA uplink.

Embedded high gain 12dBi 4×4 MIMO dual-polarized/dual slant antenna technology ensures faster and efficient bi-directional transmission for maximum bandwidth and coverage. The BEC RidgeWave 4900 series is also optimized to work in NLOS conditions, where either visual line-of-sight or Fresnel zone clearance is obstructed (or both) where desirable signal strength is difficult to achieve.

The 4900 series includes BEC Dual-Pol Dual-Slant adaptive antenna technology; LTE Advanced Pro CAT 12 with support for global LTE FDD and TDD bands; flexible network modes including bridge, router, advanced networking, and VPN; precise alignment achievable with multi-angle, multi-position mounting brackets; PoE for flexible location installation and power; IP68 / UL 50E SurTec treated die-cast alloy industrial-grade enclosures; access to BECentral (BEC’s cloud-based device management for extending network visibility); and remote control.
