Broadview Integrates Video Into Meeting Rooms with Connector

Broadview Networks has announced the release of its OfficeSuite HD Meeting Room Connector, which integrates video conferencing via meeting room systems with desktop and mobile users.

Room Connector works using any internet connection, enabling meeting room systems from Polycom, Cisco, Tandberg, Lifesize and more to instantly communicate with one another, as well as with any desktop, tablet or mobile device, offering collaboration for businesses with multiple locations and meeting rooms. By entering an address and meeting number, executives in a conference room can now video chat with other offices and remote workers on one screen, while utilizing HD Meeting’s whiteboard annotation features to edit and compare documents.

Room Connector also offers remote support and features like dual cameras. Meetings can also be broken into groups, splitting participants into as many as 50 different sessions and allowing the meeting organizer to switch between them as needed.

“HD Meeting’s virtual face-to-face conferencing between either large groups or individual employees from anywhere and at any time eliminates travel and IT costs and has never been easier to self-manage,” said Jeff Blackey, Broadview’s senior vice president of marketing. “While traditional room conference systems are often criticized for being costly and requiring heavy IT involvement that leaves systems underutilized, OfficeSuite HD Meeting delivers powerful collaborative tools. Room Connector specifically allows a business to gain an edge in mobile productivity, allowing enterprises to function at their highest possible level.”
