CrowdStrike Expands EMEA Operations

Cybersecurity specialist CrowdStrike has announced the launch of its operations in EMEA by opening a corporate office in the United Kingdom.

In the past year, CrowdStrike’s business in the EMEA region has increased by over 200 percent, including the recent addition of one of the world’s largest energy providers headquartered in EMEA.

The company is augmenting its existing European presence of engineers, intrusion and intelligence analysts to also include sales, marketing and channel partner development resources. CrowdStrike has appointed Michael East as vice president of EMEA sales to lead its EMEA go-to-market efforts, who previously held a senior leadership role within FireEye’s EMEA sales organization.

“CrowdStrike is seeing significant growth in EMEA and will bring its industry-leading next-generation endpoint protection, intelligence, and response services to the market with a total focus on helping companies stop breaches,” said George Kurtz, CrowdStrike’s co-founder and CEO. “Establishing a centralised brick-and-mortar presence in EMEA will accelerate our go-to market strategy as we deepen relationships with local partners and continue to support our rapidly expanding customer base.”

Recently, the company introduced new capabilities to its Falcon Platform, including next-generation antivirus, defenses to combat the CryptoWall ransomware, and threat detection and prevention powered by the CrowdStrike Threat Graph.
