With Chamber of Commerce-like weather, a nine-hole golf tournament among CVxEXPO23 attendees ended in a tie. In the meantime, finishing touches were being put on the expo floor at the Talking Stick Resort & Casino in anticipation of an afternoon opening.
Nonduffers, began gathering at noon to receive practical information and professional tips from concurrent educational classes, topped off by a standing-room-only crowd for fun, fast-paced, humorous and highly anticipated Keynote Conversations address by Telarus SVP of Sales Tim Basa.
Once Basa concluded, it was time to open the exhibit floor, so attendees and exhibitors could meet, greet and perhaps begin the journey of lasting professional relationships.
The first day of CVxEXPO23 in Scottsdale, Ariz., could not have been more successful. Old friends greeted themselves, as new friends were made and from 4 to 7 p.m., on Tuesday, the CVxEXPO was the place to be.
Day two begins at 8 a.m., today, with more educational sessions. At noon, the exhibit floor opens again and leads into a happy hour, before evening networking invitation-only networking events take place at popular, Scottsdale entertainment venues Top Golf, Octane Raceway and Maverix Bowling.
The two foursomes that tied in the Telesystem-sponsored opening golf tournament comprised:
Team 1 – Ireland Mclinn, Jessica Vrbanoff, Ammar Rezek and Tim Dinwoodie
Team 2 – Chad Jacobs, Jules Veloria, Lisa Brunsvold and Len Bailey
The winner of the Windstream Enterprise-sponsored longest drive competition was Vrbanoff, while the SNOM-sponsored closest to the pin contest was Jim Hetzel.
Because the two teams tied, the first- and second-place cash prizes were added together and then split among the winners.
