Excelero has announced a collaboration with Lenovo Data Center Group to provide Excelero’s NVMesh software-defined block storage solutions to Lenovo customers and channel partners worldwide.
The collaboration will make it easier for organizations to benefit from NVMe Flash storage’s throughput and efficiency.
Already proven in Lenovo deployments atSciNet, Canada’s largest supercomputing facility, and at a London-based machine learning firm, Excelero’s NVMesh provides an optimal choice for web-scale deployments and in big data uses in concert with Lenovo’sThinkSystem portfolio.
The offering also benefits mainstream data center storage applications, since Excelero’s latest NVMesh2 solution now supports TCP/IP and fiber, and offers flexible protection levels and customized management controls.
As NVMe Flash nears price parity with traditional Flash, Lenovo and Excelero enable an even wider range of organizations to achieve heightened storage capacity, flexibility and scale-out support without changing networking protocols or storage fabrics.
Excelero’s NVMesh enables shared NVMe across any network and supports any local or distributed file system. Customers benefit from the performance of local flash with the convenience of centralized storage while reducing the overall storage TCO.
