Global Capacity Hires EarthLink Vet as Channel VP

Global Capacity has appointed channel veteran Rob Olson as its vice president of channel sales, responsible for leading the company’s indirect channel business and expanding the existing Channel Partner Program.

Prior to joining Global Capacity, Rob held the position of director of channel sales at EarthLink, where he doubled sales year-over-year.  He also held several senior leadership sales and indirect sales roles at Windstream, XO Communications and Netlogic, serving all market segments from small and midsize businesses (SMBs) to large enterprises.

“Rob brings both extensive industry and partner experience as well as key relationships to make him an ideal fit for this leadership role,” says Patrick Hannon, chief revenue officer at Global Capacity. “Under Rob’s leadership, we plan to take our channel partner Program to the next level by strengthening partner collaboration, investment and support, with the ultimate goal of winning more network sales opportunities with our partners.”

“I am excited to join a team that has the same passion, vision and commitment to the success of our channel partners as I do,” said Olsen. “Global Capacity’s brand promise of Connectivity Made Simple, combined with its differentiated products, like Asymmetrical Ethernet, will truly enable partners to win more opportunities and accelerate their business with us.”

The Global Capacity Channel Partner Program provides partners with a dedicated team of professionals and online tools for all stages of the sales process and service lifecycle.
