GLOBALINX recently completed its largest installation yet, with a combined hosted PBX and GLOBALINX UC unified communications solution.
The deployment is an extensive conversion from premises-based telephony to a cloud solution for the headquarters and retail locations of a nationwide hamburger restaurant chain with over 500 locations in the United States and Canada. The goals were to improve employee communications, reduce total of cost ownership and enable the business to efficiently scale as communications needs change.
“The successful design of this large-scale unified communications solution resulted from close collaboration with our channel partners and the end customer,” said GLOBALINX’s Michael Machonkin, vice president of business development. “The final implementation has already shown improvements in communications between headquarters and the nationally dispersed restaurants.”
The conversion, which also included BroadSoft services, included almost 300 GLOBALINX UC seats, more than 1,400 DIDs, 20 SIP trunks, and several toll-free numbers and other ancillary services. The solution is interconnected nationwide over an MPLS network, and key features of the solution include full presence, device mobility, instant messaging, voice mail, call forwarding, unlimited local and domestic calling, traffic overflow protection and full service redundancy.
“We are thrilled to combine our broad-range of unified communications services with GLOBALINX’s knowledge and experience to enhance the productivity of this restaurant chains’ employees, ensuring they efficiently communicate to deliver a superior customer experience,” said Leslie Ferry, BroadSoft’s vice president of marketing.
