Leaseweb, a cloud services and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) provider, has appointed Ronald Richardson as chief revenue officer. Richardson will lead the company’s global go-to-market organization, focusing on strengthening customer partnerships, enhancing the company’s commercial strategy, and articulating the value of Leaseweb’s hybrid cloud approach, the company said.
Richardson has more than two decades of international commercial leadership experience across the technology, cloud, software and online advertising sectors. He previously held senior leadership roles at Banyan, Microsoft, AdEspresso, Axon Inc. and ESS Inc.
“Ronald brings an outstanding track record of commercial experience and strategic capability to Leaseweb,” said Lex Boost, co-CEO at Leaseweb. “His leadership will be instrumental as we continue to expand our international footprint. We are delighted to welcome him to the team as we advance our mission to be the world’s leading independent, privately owned and sovereign-by-design hybrid cloud provider.”
“What excites me about Leaseweb is that we are positioned to lead in a world where cloud and AI are transforming every industry,” said Richardson. “Our mission to be the world’s leading independent, privately owned and sovereign-by-design hybrid cloud provider is exactly what customers need today, offering the control they expect along with the freedom to innovate without compromise, and I’m proud to be joining a company that embodies these principles.”
Leaseweb has a global portfolio of 20,000 customers ranging from SMBs to enterprises. Services include public and private cloud, dedicated servers, colocation, content delivery network and cybersecurity, officials said.
