Lenovo Enters Into Agreement with “Assisted Reality” Provider RealWear

Lenovo and RealWear, a company that provides “assisted reality” solutions for frontline industrial workers, established a global collaboration deal to bring assisted reality technology to enterprise customers. The combined offerings and resources are expected to allow clients to select, deploy and scale right-fit, extended reality (XR) tech, worldwide.

Under the agreement, Lenovo certified RealWear HMT-1 devices for use on its ThinkReality platform.

This integration is designed to expand the frontline worker’s access to optimized, hands-free 2D applications. ThinkReality XR software provides advanced development and management tools, including a software-development kit (SDK), content and device-management services, enterprise integration, a robust developer portal and “ready-to-use” microservices. The ruggedized, head-mounted, intelligent wearable provides real-time access to information and expertise, while keeping their hands and field of view free for work.

The RealWear HMT-1 family of monocular devices will be available specifically through Lenovo’s global sales network.
