Magna5 Invites Intelisys Partners and Channel Connect Attendees to Demo App

Magna5 is inviting Intelisys partners and Channel Connect attendees to visit booth 68 to experience how the new Magna5 Partner App streamlines processes and enables sales teams to execute their jobs with speed and efficiency.

“Sales enablement is the foremost objective of the Magna5 Partner App,” said Gerry Gallagher, senior vice president, sales, Magna5. “We want to make it as easy as possible for our partners to grow their business by providing them with on-the-go access to the full spectrum of resources they need to close deals. With Magna5, agents, VARs and solutions providers have a partner that will hustle each day to address their every need and deliver quality services with precision and care.”

Magna5 channel executives will hold live demonstrations at the Channel Connect Supplier Expo to showcase the application’s wide range of features and functionality, such as deal registration, live news updates, real-time notifications, commission and deal status, and more. Within the application, users will have direct access to product documents and collateral, sales presentations, pitch decks, and other materials needed to sell Magna5 services.

“Channel Connect is where top minds in the cloud and telecom industries convene to express their renewed vision for the future of the channel, and as such is the perfect forum for unveiling the new Magna5 Partner App,” added Gallagher.

In the coming weeks, the Magna5 Partner App will be available for download from both Apple and Android app stores.

Magna5 specializes in helping the channel, mid-market and enterprise businesses move from legacy communications to a cloud-based, all-IP platform. Its nationwide network transports close to one billion voice calls per month, supporting government agencies, critical-care hospitals, institutions of higher education, non-profit organizations and numerous Fortune 500 enterprises.

Important to note, is that Magna5 offers carrier-grade voice and UCaaS as a managed service that boasts the flexibility and agility big telco providers lack. As its core network interconnects with numerous carriers across the country, Magna5 can route calls via the optimal path, mitigating performance issues. If one carrier falters, Magna5 can move a customer’s communications to an alternate provider.

For channel partners, this carrier diversity delivers continuity and quality of service (QoS), a compelling value proposition that sets them apart from competitors.

Former Comcast CIO Joins Magna5 Board of Directors

Magna5 has also appointed to its board of directors Scott Alcott, an award-winning executive, recognized as one of the most influential global chief information officers (CIO).

From 2012 to 2018, Alcott served as CIO of Comcast Cable, one of the largest video, high-speed internet and phone providers to residential and business customers, globally. In this role, Alcott was charged with oversight of all Comcast Cable’s infrastructure, operations, software development, systems engineering and lifecycle management, including more than 650 core services and corporate line-of-business IT systems.

Alcott’s tenure at Comcast is highlighted by the service provider’s successful digital transformation. As the second CIO in Comcast’s history, he is credited with streamlining operations across the organization, significantly increasing productivity, and implementing progressive business models that delivered higher flow-through and superior customer experiences. Comcast’s digital transformation not only increased the volume of digital transactions, it also fostered new opportunities for partner marketing, sales and distribution.

“Scott Alcott is one of the most accomplished, talented and forward-thinking executives in the world,” said Magna5 Chairman and CEO, Rick Lottie. “His success in numerous technical, operational, commercial and executive posts comprise an unparalleled track record at the highest levels of international.”

“We are excited to have Scott join our board of directors and look forward to his contributions and insight. The wealth of knowledge and diverse expertise he brings to Magna5 will help us navigate an evolving market and ascend to a position of national prominence.”

Prior to joining Comcast, Alcott served as an executive committee member with various C-level operating roles (1999 –2012) at Belgacom, S.A., a $7 billion Belgium telecom company. Reporting directly to the CEO, he occupied the most senior role in critical technical, operational, commercial and business unit functions, which included chief executive and chairman of various subsidiaries.

“I am honored to join renowned business leaders like Jim Ashton, Skip Maner and Rick Lottie on Magna5’s board of directors,” said Alcott. “With businesses nationwide consuming applications as a service from the cloud, Magna5 is very well-positioned to capitalize on the universal need for a managed services provider on which organizations can rely for IT, infrastructure, IP telephony and cybersecurity. By combining an award-winning portfolio with the backing and expertise of a premier private equity partner in NewSpring, Magna5 has assembled the necessary ingredients for sustained growth and long-term success.”
