Mivatek Provides Asia Pacific Telecom With Platform, Devices for Smart Home Offering

Mivatek Smart Connect announced today a partnership with Asia Pacific Telecom (APT). Mivatek’s platform and smart devices will form the foundation of APT’s Home Guardian program.

The new APT Home Guardian program is the company’s first offering in the smart home arena. Home Guardian provides APT customers with a robust interactive video-enabled security, safety, and wellness service.  Each package gives users an advanced “one-touch-to-responder” features that allow them to connect with family from any location.

Starter packages are now available that allow users to create a basic home security system using a Mivatek Cube Camera, two door and window sensors and a hub for system control. All Home Guardian systems can be expanded with additional Mivatek devices to cover security, safety and home care needs.

Ultimately, these packages cover the areas that APT believe will bring their customers the most peace of mind: home security and safety; care of the elderly and the safety of infants and pets.

The creation of Home Guardian evolved out of APT’s desire to bring additional value and service to its cellular subscriber base, which is currently at 1.9 million and growing.

“We looked at a number of value-added solutions to make our wireless products and services more attractive,” said Oscar Kuo, APT Senior Project Deputy Manager. “The zero-pairing technology and the comprehensive capabilities of the Mivatek Smart Connect platform and associated devices, spanning from security, safety, care, and video, really impressed us.”

“We are excited about serving global service providers and brand owners with our turnkey Smart-Connect-as-a-Service,” said Joe Liu, CEO of Mivatek Smart Connect. “We are also thrilled that a leading telecom and cellular service provider like APT chose Mivatek’s Smart Connect platform.  We made video-integrated Smart Connect easy, reliable and cost-effective, and we’re confident that APT and its customers will appreciate these advantages.”

Additional capabilities of the new Home Guardian system include:

Multi-point installation: Use a single account to simultaneously manage devices in different locations and monitor multiple locations at the same time.

Collaborative protection: Five family members can be authorized to receive instant video push notifications.

Service in tandem: Connect hospitals, care centers  and security operators, providing users with more comprehensive services.

Privacy encryption: Multiple patented firewalls and anti-intrusion technologies protect the user’s privacy.
