Nectar Services Corp. has earned the Frost & Sullivan award for Global Enhanced User Experience for Unified Communications New Product Innovation.
Nectar’s Evolution software was recognized for improving the overall performance of UC environments and for optimizing enterprises’ time, resources and costs.
As Frost & Sullivan noted in its Award Report, managing Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) is increasingly challenging as UC environments grow more complex. Evolution, Nectar’s innovative QoS software integrated with Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller–Enterprise Module (APIC-EM), erases the need for manual intervention by automating the initiation of a QoS change. This allows for the quick configuration of QoS policies for enhanced calls or additional network capabilities.
“Evolution’s uniqueness lies in its ability to witness calls related to the network in real time,” said Olga Yashkova, program manager, Frost & Sullivan. “While some of Nectar’s peers are interfacing with Cisco’s EasyQoS application, others are configuring QoS policies on particular services they have sold to their customers. However, none of these competitors have been able to reach out to the edge of the network, unlike Nectar’s Evolution, thus providing Nectar with a distinct competitive advantage.”
David Giangano, Nectar CEO, added: “Streamlining the QoS process does away with the need for manual intervention through Evolution’s automated QoS policy configuration. This has been a game-changer for our customers. They have reported saving tremendous amounts of time and money after adopting Evolution. We are thrilled to earn Frost & Sullivan’s New Product Innovation Award. This award proves the success of this innovative product and is another testament of our commitment to easing the complexity of the UC environment, helping our partners ensure a high-quality UC experience for end users.”
