NetCarrier, which provides UC and networking services to SMBs, appointed Douglas Hubler as CTO. Hubler will lead software development and technology operations, and will be responsible for delivering the next generation of business communications and collaboration platforms.
Hubler – who is a veteran principal software engineer with over 25 years in design and development – holds several patents associated with his work in the UC industry. As eZuce’s co-founder, he was an early advocate for open-source projects such as SIPfoundry, FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, Jitsi and openUCX. He is also considered an expert in leveraging these communities to advance commercial software development.
Hubler will bring new leadership skills and management capabilities, along with Agile development and DevOps experience, to NetCarrier. He replaces longtime CTO, and co-founder, Chris Peltier, who will take on an advisory role as EVP of technology services.
“Douglas is the right person at the right time to lead our technology direction at a point where AI and CX Automation are driving customer requirements,” said Brook Lenfest, CEO. In addition to his work at eZuce, Hubler has held other senior-level engineering roles at Reversing Labs, Alert Innovations and Contruent.
