Dark fiber provider Neutral Path Communications has added a carrier hotel in Sioux City, Iowa.
The location offers interconnection with local and regional networks in the Western Iowa, South Dakota, Southern Minnesota and Nebraska areas, and is part of the on the Neutral Path backbone that spans Minneapolis to Omaha. Carriers will have direct access to the key carrier aggregation points in those two cities along with the ability to interconnect with a range of ISPs, service providers and enterprises in the region.
“The Neutral Path Sioux City Carrier Hotel provides our customers with a carrier-neutral space to regenerate their optical signal along our Dark Fiber Backbone Network, locate servers or other equipment, and exchange traffic with many others all within a highly secure and efficient environment,” said Scott Bergs, Neutral Path’s CEO. “This expansion fits well into our long-haul dark fiber route and will offer many options for our clients.”
The Sioux City facility augments Neutral Path’s existing carrier hotel facilities in Mankato and Rochester, Minn., and other regeneration locations spaced along the dark fiber backbone network spanning the Midwest.
