Phound Introduces Broadcast Messaging SMS Campaign Tool

Phound, an identity-first communication platform, has expanded its platform with the introduction of Phound Wave, a broadcast messaging SMS campaign tool. The release offers personal-at-scale outreach, support for vCon-standard CRM synchronization across platforms like CINC and Microsoft Dynamics, upgraded meeting modes including guest-controlled dial-out capabilities, and a re-imagined recording hub with custom thumbnails that complement existing Dropbox integration and AI-powered transcripts, the company said.

“These new features in Phound enhance what secure, scalable and human-centric communication can look like in a hybrid world,” said Eugene Tcipnjatov, co-founder and CTO. “We created Phound Wave to bridge the gap between one-to-one and one-to-many messaging.”

Phound Wave is designed to empower users to deliver targeted, highly personal SMS message campaigns at scale. It offers user contact tagging for grouping as well as custom fields, such as “customer since” or “birthdays,” for personalization. In addition, calendar-based logic allows users to structure drip, anniversary and time-sensitive messages in a personalized manner even when sent to hundreds.

All Phound Wave users must register with The Campaign Registry, the telecom industry’s centralized system for registering SMS campaigns and senders. Phound offers a simplified TCR onboarding flow for low-volume users while also supporting comprehensive registration for enterprise campaigns, the company said.

Support for the IETF vCon standard offers real-time synchronization between communication events and CRM platforms, allowing CRM data to remain synchronized, contextualized and managed, officials said.

The redesigned recording hub introduces a unified dashboard in which users can manage, download and brand recorded interactions. Recordings are available in MP4 format, and video and audio files can be downloaded or sideloaded to Dropbox for seamless storage management.

Advanced meeting controls allow hosts to enable wait-for-host or auto-accept settings for guests in real time, as well as choose from open, hosted or closed meeting modes depending on the required level of security and control. For added security, pre-invited attendees can be manually approved, the company said.

Phound is available for macOS, Windows, iOS and Android.
