Value-added distributor ScanSource has moved its Cisco conferencing and collaboration practice from the ScanSource Security business unit to its ScanSource Catalyst business unit. ScanSource Catalyst is a specialty distributor focused on voice, unified communications, video and networking solutions and support.
ScanSource Catalyst’s specialized team members, including enablement specialists and design engineers, will to help resellers embrace collaboration products and create solutions, the company said.

With ScanSource Catalyst now providing its partners access to Cisco products, partners will be well-positioned to provide industry-leading product offerings and capitalize on enhanced support and expertise from ScanSource,” said Richard McLeod, senior director of collaboration sales at worldwide sales at Cisco.
Tools provided by ScanSource Catalyst include its Collaboration FastQuote Tool, which helps speed up the quoting process for resellers, as well as internal tools and support to assist the Cisco field sales force. In addition, resellers have access to professional services like network assessments, provisioning, staging and pre-programming of collaboration solutions.
