SilverSky, a multi-service cybersecurity provider that serves regulated and compliance-driven organizations, has elevated Cary Conrad to CEO. Conrad most recently served as the company’s president and was one of the original founders of the company that became SilverSky. As CEO, he’ll lead the company’s next phase of operational growth and strategic execution, with a continued focus on software and data science, officials said.
In a related move, Richard Dobrow, will transition to chairman of the board where he’ll focus on governance, long-term strategic oversight and investor alignment, the company said.
Conrad has a long history as an executive, including leading the Americas for NTT Cyber Security. Founded in the late 1990s, SilverSky has served regulated and high-consequence organizations with enterprise grade cybersecurity. As company president, Conrad is credited with playing a central role in the organization’s software science and development, launching the Lightning MxDR platform, and positioning SilverSky’s value proposition inside compliance-driven markets. Conrad also brings to the role a career’s worth of signal processing mathematics experience, including the mechanisms used within AI systems, officials said.
“SilverSky has always been built on operational discipline and long-term trust,” Conrad said. “Many of our customers operate under formal regulatory and audit pressures. They require clarity, accountability and measurable risk reduction. Our focus remains steady: operate effectively, strengthen posture over time, and execute with consistency. We will continue our mission using AI systems to increase our quest for better detection, response and service for our customers. We are in position to offer both security and compliance to the small and midsize marketplace, especially within regulated organizations.”
“This transition ensures continuity while sharpening executive focus,” Dobrow said. “Cary has demonstrated the leadership and operational rigor required to guide SilverSky forward. My transition to board chair allows me to concentrate fully on governance and long-term investment strategy as the company enters its next stage of growth.”
SilverSky will remain focused on sustained operational maturity, disciplined expansion and long-term value creation for customers, partners and investors, the company said.
