Trend Micro is offering a new whitepaper, entitled: “How to Reduce the Risk of Phishing and Ransomware” by Osterman Research.
This document examines instances of phishing and ransomware e-mail-based attacks, as well as the “growing need” to monitor organizational security strategy, strengthen against vulnerabilities and target emerging threat vectors.
The report surveyed 130 “security-focused” professionals, determining that:
- 37 percent of organizations believe themselves to be “highly effective” at countering 11 or more threats.
- 84 percent uncovered phishing or ransomware attacks in the past 12 months.
- Those surveyed had “mid-range” confidence in the ability of employees to recognize phishing attacks.
