Zerto 9 Release Adds New Features to Fight Ransomware

Zerto, a cloud data management and protection services provider, rolled out Zerto 9. This release is designed to “significantly” advance capabilities for combatting ransomware, and includes new immutability and automation, cloud data management and protection, backup and cloud tiering options.

The release includes an interface for more easily managing long-term data retention, including support for managing backup alterations, securing them within a cloud-based environment and preventing malicious data deletion or modification. This particular release includes immutability support for Amazon S3. Other elements include automated virtual machine protection, instant restores and support for additional cloud platforms.

“Zerto 9 enables organizations to defend their business from the consequences of ransomware,” said Deepak Verma, VP of Product Management for Zerto, “and with fully orchestrated failover and failback, organizations can recover infected applications and data from just seconds back.”

Additional details and training options come via zerto.com/labs. A webinar is also available.
