ADTRAN has been certified as an ISO 27001 company by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) for its design centers around the world.
This certification supports ADTRAN’s commitment to being a trusted partner to global service providers as they deploy open, programmable networks.
ISO 27001 is the international specification for an information security management system (ISMS) used to protect companies and ensure the integrity of company data and systems. It provides a standardized framework to manage the security of assets such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details and information provided by trusted third-party partners. ADTRAN’s certification covers its global centers in Berlin and Greifswald, Germany; Hyderabad, India; and Huntsville, Alabama.
Key attributes of ISO 27001 Certification include:
- ISO 27001 follows a top down, risk-based approach for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving an ISMS.
- With this certification, ADTRAN’s Global Design Centers in the U.S., Germany and India are at a global level of excellence.
- ADTRAN’s ISO 27001 certification helps in meeting other standards and regulations such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR).
“As a leading global provider of information and communications technology solutions, our ability to secure our IP and other data streams is part of the reason ADTRAN is one of the most trusted partners in the market. ISO 27001 has standardized the way we manage, protect and ensure security of our intellectual property,” ADTRAN Senior Vice President of Operations Michael Foliano said. “It is also a critical component of ensuring the integrity of our work with the growing ecosystem of development partners as we build out the infrastructure for truly open, programmable, scalable and trusted SD-Access networks.”
