AireSpring has added fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) for its AirePBX product, available via the company’s channel partners.
The addition of the new “Accession Communicator” allows users to port calls seamlessly across multiple devices, including desk phones, PC softphones, smartphones and tablets, from a single enterprise phone number. Users can transfer live calls mid-stream between multiple devices; so, a sunscriber can make a call on a desktop phone, transfer it to a mobile phone while driving, and then push it to a home phone or iPad when the person arrives at their destination.
“AirePBX is a true cloud communications platform,” said Todd Regan, AireSpring senior vice president of marketing. “The call resides in our managed cloud infrastructure at all times – but the user can elect to move that call from any device to any other device seamlessly. It’s almost magical.”
With Accession Communicator integrated into the PBX, subscribers can pair their desk phone service with a cell phone, tablet, or PC to integrate their contacts, review visual voicemail and other messages, set up calls and video chats, and configure settings from the call manager. An app download from the iTunes or Google Play stores is available for mobile devices.
AirePBX offers inter-office, local and long-distance calling, HD voice, auto attendant, advanced call routing, find me/follow me, simultaneouuls ring, caller ID, call forwarding, park and transfer, conferencing, fax-to-e-mail, unified visual voicemail, three-way calling, toll-free, virtual eextensions and an advanced online management portal.
“AirePBX is one of our fastest growing products,” said Daniel Lonstein, AireSpring COO. “We are proud of the rich feature set and ease of use. FMC options will further enhance and distinguish the product by making communications truly mobile across all devices. Unbeatable features combined with AireSpring’s fully managed IP Network make AirePBX a leader in the cloud hosted phone system space.”
