Texas wholesale metro connectivity provider Alpheus Communications has deployed Overture‘s Ethernet over copper (EoC) solutions as part of a significant, ongoing network expansion. Overture’s bonded copper solutions allow for the rapid turn up of Ethernet services from 1Mbps to 100Mbps to accomodate high-speed business services, mobile backhaul and cloud connectivity offerings.
“We deployed the Overture solution in anticipation of our carrier and business customers migrating from traditional network options to modern, standards-based Ethernet services,” said Francisco Maella, COO at Alpheus Communications. “By utilizing EoC, carriers and enterprises benefit from scalability, flexibility and cost-effectiveness, while our channel partners have more revenue-generating options from selling a broader portfolio of Ethernet services on the Alpheus network.”
“So much of our success is based on our customers’ success, and that is why our Carrier Ethernet 2.0 solutions are designed to provide unparalleled service assurance, as well as rich feature sets that allow them to be easily deployed and managed,” said Mike Aquino, CEO at Overture. “It’s rewarding to see a valued customer like Alpheus experiencing notable growth and taking advantage of expanding market opportunities utilizing EoC. We look forward to our ongoing collaboration and congratulate them on their continuing success.”
