Texas metro-regional fiber provider Alpheus Communications has a new channel head: Matt Milliron has joined the company as senior vice president of enterprise and channel sales.
Milliron will be responsible for growing and further developing Alpheus’ direct and indirect sales for Alpheus’ enterprise network services, including metro Ethernet, MPLS, E-LAN, data center colocation and business-class voice solutions.
Last year, Alpheus announced a $10-million investment to expand its fiber network and enterprise-focused workforce—Milliron’s appointment is the next step.
“I’m excited to join Alpheus during this time of growth and investment, and I look forward to further expanding Alpheus’ share of the enterprise market,” said Milliron. “Alpheus’ proven reputation and deep commitment to customer and channel partner relationships attracted me, as did the company’s wholly owned fiber network and high-quality transport services, which are key to long-term growth and success.”
“Matt is an accomplished telecom sales executive, and we’re pleased to have him join Alpheus to help achieve our aggressive growth goals,” said Alpheus CEO Scott Widham. “In addition to his sales management experience, Matt has proven very effective at recruiting, retaining and motivating highly successful sales teams, and we’ll rely on Matt’s talent-acquisition skills as Alpheus continues to grow.”
Prior to joining Alpheus, Milliron was regional vice president of sales for Airband Communications, where he was responsible for managing all aspects of the direct sales channel; previously, Milliron held sales and general manager roles with Cbeyond. Milliron earned a bachelor’s of business administration from Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth, where he graduated cum laude.
