Asigra has announced an Unlimited Use Subscription License for its cloud backup software.
With this release, Asigra aims to address challenges faced by managed service providers when attempting to accurately forecast backup software licensing costs while supporting customers with mixed environments.
Under this new licensing model, the service provider’s pricing is based on usage from the previous year, plus a jointly agreed upon growth commitment. The costs associated with the license amount will not increase, the company says, regardless of how much the service provider’s usage (capacity, virtual machines, physical machines, sockets, users, etc.) rises during the term. This provides the service provider with the potential for increased profits and reduces the potential for license over-subscription.
