Astound Announces $300K Investment in Lehigh Valley, PA, Tech Upgrades

Astound, a provider of internet, Wi-Fi, mobile, TV and fiber-optic solutions, announced a $300,000 investment in technology upgrades for local nonprofits across Lehigh Valley, Pa. The initiative complements the company’s ongoing $81 million network enhancements designed to deliver faster, more reliable connectivity throughout the region.

As Astound continues to upgrade its fiber-powered network, the company is partnering with organizations to strengthen local neighborhoods and expand digital access. Its investment is intended to revitalize community technology spaces—equipping nearly 240,000 residents and business owners with updated devices and connectivity, the company said.

“We believe access to modern technology is essential for life, career and academic demands,” said Clyde Lee III, VP of sales. “These upgrades will help eliminate barriers and create pathways for our future leaders and changemakers. We’re committed to making a real difference in the communities we live and serve.”

Organizations that will benefit from these investments include public libraries and Boys & Girls Clubs.

“We are grateful that Astound recognizes the vital role that libraries play in providing technology and learning materials to their communities,” said Renee Haines, director of the Allentown, Pa., Public Library. “This expansion to our current resources will help us meet the evolving needs of our community and ensure all users have the opportunity to access 21st century tools and programs.”
