Astound Business Solutions, which provides high-capacity and secure connectivity for business customers in the U.S., launched Wi-Fi Pro for Small Business, powered by eero, an Amazon company.
Wi-Fi Pro provides fast, reliable and secure Wi-Fi networking for businesses with up to 50 employees, as well as their customers. The offering is an upgrade from Astound’s Whole Business Wi-Fi, also powered by eero.
Wi-Fi Pro uses eero’s mesh Wi-Fi hardware, with TrueMesh networking technology, while offering custom eero for Business features such as:
- Captive portal, for creating a branded guest Wi-Fi experience for visitors.
- Multiple SSIDs, : With multiple SSIDs, for keeping employee and business critical devices secured by segmenting them from other connected devices on the network.
- Scalable Wi-Fi from a single AP, up to 2,500 square feet of coverage per device, in covering a business’s space.

Astound’s previously launched Custom Wi-Fi covers larger enterprise deployments; its Business Wi-Fi serves medium enterprises. For small businesses, Wi-Fi Pro can be deployed with a single AP, bringing a company to the ground level of wireless coverage. It is ideal for businesses with gigabit+ plans with up to 100 connected devices or use throughput-intensive and latency-sensitive applications such as multiple high resolution video conferencing calls.
Wi-Fi Pro is available on HSI and BCI. eero’s intuitive, easy setup enables non-technical users to create a customized Wi-Fi experience. It gives customers low-cost access to wireless services and eero Insight, a web portal experience that is clean and easy to maneuver. It empowers network admins and small business owners to manage how their network operates without spending time waiting for customer support.
