Auvik Announces Automation Framework and CVE Monitoring Agent

Auvik today announced the general availability of the Auvik Automation Framework and the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) Monitoring Agent.

The Auvik Automation Framework enables IT teams to create and execute automated jobs across groups of network devices, reducing the need to make configuration changes individually. Teams can define the commands to execute, select the devices involved and run jobs on demand or at scheduled times.

The new CVE Monitoring Agent helps IT teams identify potential security vulnerabilities across their network environments. Checking which devices are affected can require cross-referencing multiple databases — a labor-intensive process that can take considerable time as security risks grow.

Auvik’s monitoring agent automates those checks, matching published CVEs against a customer’s devices using sources such as the National Vulnerability Database and vendor advisories. It expands Auvik’s Asset Intelligence offering, complementing Device Lifecycle Monitoring which launched earlier this year.
