Broadvoice Adds Midwest Channel Manager

Broadvoice has hired Alan Kaplan as channel manager of the Midwest region.

Kaplan’s appointment follows the recent additions of Randy Greene and Todd Scarborough as channel managers in the Texas and Southwest regions, respectively, to further support the company’s growing channel program and double-digit sales growth for its suite of cloud communications services.

He has more than 20 years of channel management experience in the communications industry. Prior to joining Broadvoice, he spent several years as a channel manager with Broadview Networks. He also was a channel executive at MegaPath, PAETEC and TelePacific (now TPx), among other network and cloud service providers.

“We are delighted to welcome Alan to our team,” said Tessley Smith, vice president of channel for Broadvoice. “We feel strongly that he can leverage his industry expertise, product knowledge and partner relationships into continued growth for Broadvoice throughout the Midwest. We’ve nearly tripled in size over the past three years and look forward to many more quarters of double-digit growth with industry veterans like ‘Kap’ coming aboard.”

“I couldn’t be more thrilled about joining Broadvoice,” added Kaplan. “It’s a company teeming with youth and energy. They have great products and people who are passionate about doing the right thing for partners and customers. They also like to work hands-on with agents and their clients, which is important to me. I don’t want to be a quote machine. I truly enjoy getting to know partners and doing everything I can to help them grow their business. And that’s the attitude of everyone at Broadvoice, too. I’m excited to a part of their team and I know their solutions, support systems and esprit de corps with respect to the channel will be great assets to the partners I work with.”
