Managed VoIP provider Broadvox has launched Voice Control Technology for managing hosted VoIP for small and medium-sized businesses, available through its channel partners. VCT addresses key issues when switching to a hosted voice solution such as call quality, business continuity and the cost of purchasing a dedicated broadband circuit.
The service first includes the installation of dedicated voice quality monitoring equipment, to measure call quality over any broadband circuit. Broadvox also provides customers with a managed switch and QoS router to ensure all PCs and phones are properly prioritizing voice traffic. And finally, an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is installed in front of a customer’s data network to provide continuity of service in the event of a power outage.
Voice Control Technology is carrier-neutral and provides voice control and support regardless of their broadband provider choice.
Broadvox is also offering a “Switch to Voice” promotion for companies with a minimum of 10 employees. This incentive to switch to managed hosted voice includes: free IP Phones, free Voice Control Technology, and free activation and on-site professional installation.
“Broadvox has made switching to a business-class hosted voice service more affordable and easier for end-users and the IT professionals who support them,” said Arnaud Gautier, executive vice president of product and customer experience. “VCT allows us to deliver to our customers the flexibility of broadband-choice without sacrificing voice quality.”
