C3 Complete joined the VMware cloud service program as a “premier level” partner. This achievement demonstrates that C3 Complete has a highly developed VMware practice and consistent track record of delivering customer satisfaction.
C3 Complete was also invited to join the white-label VMware cloud service program (VCSP), through which it can resell VCSP licensing to smaller partners either not invited or not having the necessary staffing to participate at the premier – or above – level. This, the companies noted, opens a new avenue for partnership with existing hosting companies throughout the U.S..
On November 21, 2023, Broadcom announced that it cleared the necessary regulatory hurdles and would close the acquisition of VMware. Immediately following the closing, Broadcom laid out a timetable whereby it planned to revolutionize VMware’s long-standing hosting partner program, better known then as the VMware vCloud partner program.
One of the most visible changes was a reduction in the number of partners that would be authorized under the new hosting program, now the VMware cloud service program. While exact numbers have not been released, it is believed that Broadcom has culled the number of hosting partners from over 4,000 down to under 500, worldwide. Broadcom noted at the time that this was to “ensure we have the right partners who are capable of delivering consistent VMware Cloud Foundation-based services to customers worldwide.”
