Unified communications (UC) specialist CallTower Inc. has launched a Cisco-specific remote phone solution for its new and existing customer base, available through its reseller channel. Customers can now tap the benefits of the CallTower Unified Communications platform in a small office/home office (SOHO) setting, using a third-party Internet connection.
“We have a very diverse client base that encompasses everything from small, single-site businesses to large enterprises,” said Jim Barroso, vice president of engineering at CallTower. “Large or small, many of our clients require the ability to easily and affordably offer the same feature-rich communications solution to their teleworkers and small office employees as that offered at their larger locations.”
He added, “After evaluating recent technological changes, we’re pleased to release a solution that we believe will best deliver against those goals.”
For remote offices, home office workers and teleworkers, it can be hard to be productive when communications services don’t work as well as they do in a large corporate office. Virtual office solutions like remote phone functionality can boost flexibility and productivity by delivering secure, comprehensive and manageable network services to teleworkers, SOHOs and remote offices.
CallTower IP telephony is based end-to-end on enterprise-class Cisco Unified Communications platform. Its managed IP telephony solution includes fully managed Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco IP phones, softphones, conference station systems, routers and switches that provide a platform for improving productivity and collaboration for business.
