Cambium Networks has been awarded Manufacturer of the Year, Service of the Year for the cnMaestro management system, and Product of the Year for the PMP 450m wireless access network solution, as voted by the members of the Wireless ISP Association (WISPA).
“We are honored to be recognized by our wireless ISP network operator customers,” said Atul Bhatnagar, president and CEO of Cambium Networks. “Cambium Networks listens to the needs of service providers and develops technology solutions that provide a ‘wireless fabric’ of end-to-end high-quality wireless solutions that are also affordable. The PMP 450m technology and cnMaestro management system are game-changers for service providers who are looking for high-speed, high-capacity solutions that provide consistently reliable performance.”
“We listened to the needs of service providers who required more throughput in less spectrum,” said Scott Imhoff, senior vice president of Product Management for Cambium Networks. “Their needs led our development team to create the telecommunication industry’s first 14×14 Massive MU-MIMO sector for fixed wireless point-to-multipoint applications, providing unsurpassed throughput in a 20 MHz channel. We are pleased to receive this Product of the Year recognition and assure WISPs around the world that we are continuing to invest in developing new technologies that will further propel their business. We commenced commercial shipments of the PMP 450m a couple of days prior to the 2016 convention and have now deployed over 3,000 units around the world, with deployment rates accelerating. Fittingly, at this year’s WISPA event we announced a forthcoming software update to the PMP 450m that lifts its capacity to 1.2 Gbps; as well as plans to introduce a 3 GHz variant in 2018.”
He added, “The cnMaestro management system was developed based on the specific needs of network operators who provide end-to-end wireless connectivity for residential and business customers. This Service of the Year award is a special honor in that it recognizes that our development team listened to the customer needs, and executed a solution that delights them and delivers value by reducing the time and cost of planning, installation and maintenance. The platform can be either cloud-based or an on-premise software package that gives network operators secure control of their entire network.”
