Systems integrator Carousel Industries has named BT alum Bill Thompson as vice president of video services.
Thompson joins Carousel from BT Conferencing where, for the last five years, he served as global head of video operations. Thompson was responsible for operations, strategic development and business leadership across its entire video portfolio.During his 20 years of operations experience, Thompson has worked at all levels,from field technician to engineering as well as managed global operations organizations.
“In today’s video environment there has emerged a clear need for a truly comprehensive managed video offer,” said Thompson. “Exciting, yet disruptive, trends and convergences in the collaborations space have positioned the service provider industry with no clear leader.
