Concentric AI announced the purchase of Swift Security and Acante. These transactions are expected to help it deliver an end-to-end data security governance platform that unifies data security posture management (DSPM), data loss prevention (DLP) and generative AI (GenAI) governance. This spans structured, unstructured and semi-structured data across cloud and on-premises environments.
The platform’s protections extend across multiple GenAI use cases to secure enterprise data, regardless of location or implementation. The acquisitions amplify existing Concentric AI Semantic Intelligence platform capabilities, extending enterprise data protection whether at rest, in motion or in use.
With the acquisitions, Concentric AI expects to go beyond securing sensitive data in GenAI assistant deployments – such as Microsoft Copilot – to monitoring and preventing data exfiltration across public GenAI tools such as ChatGPT. It also helps promote data security governance for proprietary GenAI workloads. Expanded capabilities include discovering “shadow GenAI,” curating data for GenAI applications developed in-house and ensuring effective access governance for these applications.
The acquired capabilities are strengthened by proprietary AI within the Semantic Intelligence platform, facilitating complete, accurate discovery, categorization, classification, risk monitoring and protection of enterprise data through its unique ability to understand context.

The Swift Security acquisition will allow Concentric AI to discover when public GenAI applications such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and thousands of others are being used, and to provide data security oversight to ensure appropriate usage. This gives Concentric AI the capability to monitor sensitive data such as PII/PCI/PHI, business-sensitive data, IP and financial data flowing through public GenAI applications, identifying behavior risk while making “allow” / “block” decisions.
With the purchase of Acante, Concentric AI can curate the data used to train AI/ML models, enabling security teams to exclude, redact, replace, mask or encrypt sensitive data. Security teams can set policies to customize data access by user or group, monitoring and ensuring appropriate access.
