Console Connect has announced an expanded collaboration with IBM Cloud Direct Link, a network service designed to secure and accelerate data transfer between private infrastructure and the IBM public cloud, for reliable and low latency network connections from data centers across Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Console Connect is a software-defined interconnection (SDI) platform that delivers fast, low-latency and secure connectivity worldwide over PCCW Global’s network, with a redundant core network featuring multiple diverse paths between countries. With IBM Cloud Direct Link services, customers on the platform can now instantly provision virtual connections directly into IBM’s public cloud for short durations from any of the Console Connect-enabled data centers in 40 countries.
With on-demand private connectivity to the IBM public cloud, Console Connect and IBM customers can now benefit from a seamless, end-to-end experience for their critical IBM Cloud services such as compute and storage infrastructure as well as IBM’s extensive catalogue spanning AI, blockchain and the IoT.
Console Connect has implemented direct cloud on-ramps to the IBM public cloud in Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, London, Frankfurt and San Jose. All on-ramps can be accessed directly from 300 plus on-net data centers in over 40 countries via the Console Connect private network.
