Crestone Services Group to Acquire Trace

Crestone Services Group LLC announced Monday it will acquire Trace LLC.

Trace is a telecom infrastructure provider building the next-generation wireless network. The company combines 5G fiber installation with ongoing maintenance for the nation’s leading wireless carriers.

In recent years, increasing demand for bandwidth has led to Trace’s significant growth. The company has completed projects nationwide and built a solid reputation with fiber infrastructure owners.  Following the merger, Trace will become part of A to Z Field Services, a subsidiary of Crestone, and continue to be led by its founder, Jimmy Dixon.

Crestone Services Group CEO Rick Barrett said the acquisition “expands our wireline capabilities by adding incremental underground, splicing, and aerial crews.”

Dixon added, “We see this as an opportunity to accelerate growth while continuing to serve our longstanding customers.”

Crestone Services Group was formed in 2015 to develop a utility services company pursuing strategic acquisitions in the communications, power, and gas distribution markets. To date, it has completed nine acquisitions of businesses supporting communications carriers and public utility owners.
