Digium has added two new Switchvox IP PBX/unified communications appliances for mid-size businesses, to roll out via its partner channel. The Switchvox 400 Series includes UC features for up to 600 users in a single system, and more powerful processing for more demanding applications.
The Switchvox 450 and Switchvox 470 are Digium’s newest additions to the product line, and address larger applications and customer needs. These appliances offer server-class architectures, more memory, state of the art processors, enhanced RAID options and solid state drives (SSD). These enhancements allow Switchvox to more than double the number of concurrent calls supported on the prior models, the company said. In addition to improved capacity and performance, the size of the appliances has been reduced by 46 percent, the weight by 37 percent, and the power consumption by 22 percent, it added.

The Switchvox 450 is a UC platform and IP PBX that supports up to 500 users in a single platform, going for $9,850. The Switchvox 470 meanwhile provides the fastest processing power in the Switchvox product line, and supports up to 600 users in a single platform. It goes for $12,975.
