Digium has announced the Digium IP Phone Rental Program for its Switchvox Cloud hosted phone service. Partners can offer small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) an investment-free unified communications (UC) phone system by eliminating all upfront hardware costs, including the phones, combining all services into one monthly bill.
Launched in March of 2013, Switchvox Cloud is the hosted version of Digium’s premises-based business phone system. Designed and manufactured by Digium, the accompanying rental phones are built specifically to integrate with Switchvox and Asterisk, providing the ability for customization for users.
“Digium engineered the phones from the ground up and built the best phones for Switchvox and Asterisk,” said Mark Amick, director of product management for Digium. “We deliver a robust, unique feature set and unprecedented customer support unmatched in the UCaaS industry.”
He added, “The new rental program allows customers to deploy a world-class phone system with a zero capital investment, substantially lowering the initial cost of entry into a new system.”
Digium has also launched a 30-day, risk-free trial offer for Switchvox Cloud. Customers are provided with five user extensions, five Digium D40 IP phones, and a toll free number to help evaluate the service.
