Charlie Ergen, co-founder and chairman of the board of EchoStar and DISH, will be the keynote speaker for the upcoming INCOMPAS show (Nov. 4-6 in Louisville, Kentucky).
Ergen will share insights on what is required to build out a 5G network, as well as the critical role of fiber network partners enabling 5G deployment. He will also discuss DISH’s long-standing role as a market disruptor – first in the satellite space and now in the wireless sector as a challenger in both the retail and wholesale markets.
In 1980, Charlie co-founded EchoStar Communications Corporation as a C-Band satellite-TV distributor. Under EchoStar in March 1996, DISH Network emerged as the consumer brand providing direct broadcast satellite service to customers. In 2008, DISH Network spun off from EchoStar to separate the satellite service and technology sides of the business.
