EdgeConneX to Deploy Zayo Group Holdings

EdgeConneX will deploy fiber from Zayo Group Holdings to support its dark fiber, wavelength and IP services.

Zayo will build diverse entrances into six Edge Data Centers, along with two additional facilities, serving customers in Atlanta, Las Vegas, Memphis, Nashville, Portland, Richmond, Salt Lake City and San Diego. These new markets will join both the Houston and Phoenix Edge Data Centers, which already offer Zayo connectivity. Customers can also access pricing and place orders for connectivity to all of these Edge Data Centers through Tranzact, Zayo’s shopping platform.

Zayo’s fiber will allow EdgeConneX customers to access dark fiber and Layer 2 connectivity through wavelengths, Ethernet and IP services at each Edge Data Center; Zayo customers will be able to connect to a common carrier interconnect facility in each market.

“As digital content demand increases, content providers require more network capacity and reliable, scalable and secure fiber connectivity,” said John Real, vice president of strategic partnerships at Zayo.  “Combining our diverse fiber connectivity with EdgeConneX Edge Data Centers optimizes the customer experience and provides the connectivity that content providers demand.”
