Cybersecurity startup empow has launched the Security Diagnostics Service as part of a major platform update.
Running continuously atop the intent-based empow Security Platform – which provides ongoing prescriptive analytics and orchestration capabilities – the service, available via channel partners, measures the effectiveness of the security architecture against different types of advanced threats and regulatory standards. It also allows organizations to test various “what-if” scenarios, such as assessing the success of the architecture when a certain product is disabled, providing CISOs with a score for each product within the context of various risks.
“In my conversations with dozens of CISOs, I have heard their frustrations regarding the relative lack of transparency of their own security platforms,” said empow founder and CEO Avi Chesla. “Our Security Diagnostics Service sheds light on the effectiveness of the security apparatus as a whole – not just the effectiveness of the siloed products, and not just after an attack, but continuously – in preparation for future attacks as well. The result is a vastly improved security posture, without necessarily having to acquire any new security tools. The bottom line: improved ROI on existing tools, and better security.”
He added, “With all the latest regulatory and compliance challenges, and the growing sophistication and ferocity of cyber-attacks, organizations need to know they are ready. empow’s new Security Diagnostics Service can help give CEOs and CISOs alike that peace of mind – providing a new era of cyber accountability.”
