FirstLight Fiber Inks Deal with SymQuest

FirstLight Fiber, which operates in Upstate New York and Northern New England with connectivity to Canada, announced today that it will provide data center and connectivity services to SymQuest, a design, installation, and support business that handles the information flow of electronic communications over the cloud in addition to its other managed services.

FirstLight’s Vermont data center, served by its own geographically diverse fiber-optic systems, will support SymQuest as the company further develops its growing retail cloud division. In addition to utilizing FirstLight’s data center services to accommodate its retail-based cloud service offering, SymQuest will also use FirstLight’s Ethernet and Internet solutions, which will enable SymQuest to continue to provide copier and network services for area businesses.

“We have been working with FirstLight since 2012, and have found the company to be an exceptional technology partner and provider for SymQuest,” said Larry Sudbay, president and CEO of the SymQuest Group. “Before choosing FirstLight, we performed our due diligence and closely examined each of the providers we considered working with, paying special attention to their network routes, the breadth of their service offering and the level of support they provide. Ultimately, we chose FirstLight for not only its extensive network footprint, but for the quality of its services and the local, small-town feel the FirstLight team extends to each of its customers. Connectivity is the livelihood for businesses in our region, and we put a lot of trust in FirstLight to help SymQuest deliver the best services.”

“SymQuest is dedicated to being Northern New England’s top choice for office technology solutions, and we are honored to work with a company that takes such pride in all that it does for its customers” said Kurt Van Wagenen, president and CEO for FirstLight. “There is an extreme thoroughness in everything SymQuest does; from the services it provides to the technology choices it makes to ensure the company is innovative and provides extreme value to its clients. Together, we have the opportunity to support enterprises in Northern New England in a meaningful way as we further extend high-quality fiber and cloud-based connectivity.”
